Tangier
Car rental in Tangier
Tangier is the entry point for anyone arriving from Spain, and it is the one Moroccan city where a lot of our customers do not arrive by plane at all, they come off the ferry from Tarifa or Algeciras. Those ferries dock at Tanger Med, about forty-five kilometres east of the city, which catches people out. We deliver there, so you can step off the boat and drive away.
From Tangier the good drives are short. Chefchaouen, the blue town in the Rif, is about two hours. Asilah is forty-five minutes down the Atlantic coast, Tetouan an hour east, and the Mediterranean beaches start almost immediately once you clear the city.
No airport surcharge
Delivery and collection at the airport, your hotel or your riad are included. Competitors commonly add 8–15%.

- The port is roughly 45 km east of central Tangier. Tell us your sailing and we will meet you there instead, there is no extra charge.

- The old medina and the kasbah are best explored on foot. Park below and walk up.

Can you deliver the car to Tanger Med ferry port?
Yes, and at no extra cost. Send us your sailing details and we will meet you on arrival at the port rather than in the city.
Can I take the rental car to Spain on the ferry?
No. Our cars cannot leave Morocco. If you are travelling on to Europe, return the car in Tangier or at Tanger Med before boarding.
Is Tangier a good base for Chefchaouen?
Yes. It is around two hours each way on paved roads, which makes it a comfortable day trip, though an overnight stay is more rewarding.
Can I drop the car off in Marrakech or Casablanca?
One-way returns to our other cities can be arranged on request. Ask when booking so we can confirm availability and quote it up front.
